You guys,
I’m serious. Go download Jon’s single (it’s FREE). People are comparing his sound to City and Colour, so if you dig Dallas you’ll dig Jon. We use to pass notes using only acronyms in junior high. Just sayin’.

I have a ninja cat.
I moved her off the bed. Turned around to see that David and Jacob want us to ask them questions, and then BOOM. Cat is back in the farthest corner of the bed again.
HOW DOES SHE DO IT?
You guys have an answer for that?

Inception Teaser Trailer →
ckck:
Christopher Nolan was one of the most interesting filmmakers of this past decade, and it looks like he’s going to be off to a good start in the next as well. This looks deliciously mind-bendy.
Ellen Page, woah. Super huge fan of hers; not only because she’s from Halifax, but because she is incredibly talented. Like, um, she went from co-starring with Michael Cera* to co-staring...

I would much rather be passed out right now, but...
I’ve got to do all of the things that got put off in the past couple of weeks (work has been bananas) in order to be ready for Christmas; mainly pack for my parent’s and wrap and organize gifts.
I’m using TeuxDeux for the first time. It’s gratifying to cross things off the list!

Today I bought:
This Dress in Asphalt
And these “socks” in the gray as well.
So the rule went something like this: One gift for [insert family member].. one gift for me.

A film by Charles and Ray Eames for Polaroid. Beautiful in a million different ways. I could watch this over and over again.

What do I love?! (or shit or get off the pot)
Do I want to make this a blog about Design? I feel like there are so many people talking about design that nothing I say will be original, but Pat told me:
“… do what you love … that alone makes you successful.”
I really love design. I honestly (and perhaps naively) think it can - and will - change the world. I just don’t know what separates me from every other...

(Actually, I am both.)
The author has a good point. There are a huge number of people marketing themselves as designers when really all they have is a copy of Photoshop and Firefox open to Smashing Magazine.
But I feel exactly like the person the author describes.
I’ve been teaching myself design over the past 3 years, and while I think I am doing ok, there is a...

Waste Less December Update #2
I’m in a bit of a lull lately. I spent most of the weekend at my parent’s so I ate all of their food, but I made sure to eat most of my perishable stuff before going. The final English muffin lasted until the next day and I gobbled it up for breakfast. That’s the good news.
The bad news is that I lost about half of a tomato.
I bought some more bananas (3) tonight as well as...

Confession:
I would love for my blog to be successful and/or something I’m proud of. Sometimes I find it hard to tell people about my blogging if I’m not sure how they’ll respond. I’ve had mixed reactions. Some people just can’t get into blogs or don’t take them seriously.
I know that realistically I’ll probably never be able to quit my day job and take...

Waste Less December: Update #1
Sadly this morning I had to toss two of the English Muffins. They were already moldy. I did, however, manage to salvage the two that were left and ate one. Hopefully the other one lasts until tomorrow’s breakfast. I brought what is leaf of my tomato to work, but haven’t eaten it yet.
On a high note - I did just eat my last banana! No wasting there, which is usually a weak spot for me.

Waste Less December
This may not interest many people, but I have just come to a very sobering realization: I waste a lot of food.
Today, on the way home from work, I stopped at the local grocer to get something for dinner. I also needed milk and eggs. So there I was. I spent around $30, which included a salad from the salad bar in the store. On the way home I remembered how much left over food and pieces of...
