To the kids who run the show over at facebook:
Fix your shit.
My account is not dormant, it is highly active. There is no reason why the security should be compromised, right? If you can’t figure out a way to fix this, I think you should have it so, at a certain interval, you make it mandatory for users to change their passwords in order to keep their accounts secure.
AT THE VERY LEAST put a disclaimer near the “password” section of the account details page so that, if it’s not mandatory, the average user will know that a password change is the first thing they should do if weird shit is happening to their page, or worse: if their account is spamming OTHER PEOPLE’S ACCOUNTS! OR you could even use your shitty inbox application and send us reminder emails?
But, I mean, don’t go out of your way or anything.
