I don’t have a blogroll on my site (it would be looonggg, let me tell you!) so I thought I’d do a few roundups this week of the blogs that are in high rotation for me.
Beauty blogs are having a bit of a moment right now; almost gaining as much popularity as fashion blogs. I enjoy the combo of both in my google reader. I appreciate these girls because they do all of the leg work for me! I get honest reviews and opinions on what’s out there. All of my real life friends are gorgeous, but none are really beauty freaks or fashion obsessed, so it’s nice to have these opinions to go off.
I’m actually a little overwhelmed at how many daily outfit/fashion blogs there are out there. It seems like blogs with this format are easily monetized and lot of women are able to turn their love of fashion into a career, which is amazing. I admire them for taking photos of themselves every day. It’s gotta take confidence!
Here are my top five fashion blogs:

12:04
Curated by Olga Montserrat, this blog is less “an outfit a day” and more “fashion inspiration.” Monsterrat does do the odd outfit post, but also finds some pretty amazing inspiration and presents it in a very well-edited way.

Kendi Everyday
Kendi, a boutique owner, is where i get my girly-girl fix. I mean she’s girly to me. But by comparison to other girly girls, probably not super girly. Makes sense, right? Her outfits are put together with affordable pieces and always have a really upbeat colour palette. She’s never over-styled and seems like a super approchable, nice person.

Naughty Mess
Edgy. If that doesn’t sound like a compliment I mean it as one. I love the effortlessness that Cloe brings to her style blog. She’s got the “perfectly undone” look mastered. And she’s Canadian, which is cool too! Lots of outfit posts as well as inspiration - the perfect mix!

Park & Cube
The photography here is enough to make me a fan, but it is truly a unique look at things a little more high fashion. Shini, the London-based graphic designer who runs the blog, has made sure the the site’s layout is flawless. It’s really one of the nicer looking fashion blogs out there. I can’t say it enough. Seriously. Go for the fashion stay for the photography.

Sincerely, Jules
Jules is gorgeous. She’s one of those gals who can pull off any look. She’s great at pairing accessories with her looks and has even worn a peplum dress with a pair of nikes once. She’s also been known to rock her converse when most would don heels. My kind of girl!
Now onto my top five in beauty:

The Beauty Department
Run by friends of Lauren Conrad this site is pretty heavy on the DIYs (nail art, makeup, etc). What I love, and will return to, are the video tutorials that were frequent when the blog first started. Some even feature LC!

Into The Gloss
This blog really is a smattering of everything. Mostly featuring well-known models and other beauty industry peeps. It’s got a lot of longer articles, so if you’re not into the reading thing, this site might not be for you, but I really enjoy the editorial style!

Lisa Eldridge
Ladies, if you don’t know of Lisa Eldridge, then prepare to enjoy an afternoon of procrastination. I got sucked into her youtube channel a few months back. It’s a rabbit hole full of really useful product info and tutorials. And her voice! It’s soooo soothing. A plus for sure. She’s also talks a lot about covering blemishes and how to properly apply things like foundation and concealer. Really really great stuff.

She Lets Her Hair Down
Gotta throw a hair blog in there, right? There are some great how-tos and haircut inspiration. The best part: they break down what to tell your stylist so that you get the cut you want! Perfect.

Vivianna Does Makeup
Vivianna (aka Anna) is so naturally beautiful she really doesn’t need makeup. Maybe that’s why she loves buying and applying it? Regardless, I love her simple, natural looks and her cute British accent. She’s also a huge Zara lover, so she gets points for that, too! You can watch her youtube channel here.
PHEW. I know that was long, but I hope some of these blogs are new to you and that you find them useful - if not at least entertaining. Later this week I’ll round up my favourite lifestyle, design, and photography blogs so stay tuned!
All photos were taken from their respective blogs.
