Nothing thrills and excites me quite like getting a couple of rolls of film back from processing and scanning.* Here’s some of what’s gone on this summer since I last dumped the Toronto photos on you all:

Joanne & Joey’s wedding invites went out. The big day is only 10 sleeps away!

I went to a Hey Rosetta! show on an Island in the middle of the Halifax Harbor. That is my friend Chuck in the middle with a couple of the guys from the band… and my shadow in the bottom left!

    Halifax Pride Parade

Experienced my first TIBS Family Dinner. Had some amazing food and adorable company!

A solid beach-y (read: boozy) afternoon at Crystal Crescent. The first of the beach photos is one of those ones I’ll be looking at mid-February while pining for warmer months.

That’s a lot of stuff; and all before my big trip to Montreal & Osheaga! I’ve got one roll from that adventure still in my camera waiting to be used up, so those’ll have to wait for another post. Excited? You better be! I’ve got my hands on a 7D for a bit, so likely the next photos (and videos!!) you see from me will be digital. It’s so nice to be able to switch back and forth, but I love the look of film so I’ll be back to that in due time.

If you’ve read this far, thanks. I’m going to go on a bit of a personal aside for a sec (that’s what blogs are for, right?):

If you had told me in March that I would be having a really great summer this year, I may have (with teary eyes) told you I didn’t think so and that I didn’t know how this Summer could be as good as last. When you feel like I did back then it can be hard to see the forest for the trees, but I’m so proud of how I feel now and I can honestly say that this Summer has been great; so much better than I could have ever dreamt and, while the Dog Days of Summer are just about over (or have already ended - depending on whom you consult), there’s still so much more good, amazing fun to come. I’plan to soak up as much of it as possible.

    xx
*I get my stuff processed at Wal Mart.
