1. Weekend Dish No.1
Joanne’s lovely significant other is in Hong Kong for a while, which makes it hard for him to be home for dinner each night. Safe to say, that her being abandoned (lovingly) and my being single makes for some lonely dinners. We decided in order to combat that, we’d make the same meal once a week in the hopes that the two of us would feel closer, even though Joanne is in Edmonton and I’m in Halifax. Phewf.
Tonight we made Fancy Macaroni c/o the Pioneer Woman. It is fancy because it has bacon. And lots of fancy cheeses. And bacon.

If I had to say one word about this recipe it’d be: OMG.It was so good.
If you decide to make this (which you should), please don’t do so in hopes of becoming skinny. Ever. There is enough butter in this for Pauly D to coif his hair for a week. Also, it makes enough for an army. So make some friends and invite them over. This would also be a good dish for a potluck.
Annndd: make sure you start the sauce part in a BIG pot. Like, bigger than you think is necessary. It’ll make it easier when it comes time to mix everything together.
One more thing: Wear your stretchy pants. THERE IS BACON INVOLVED.
