1. I’ve been working out for about six weeks now. Five days a week I’m at the gym for about an hour. 30 minutes of cardio and 15 or 20 minutes spent on weights training. One day I’ll work my arms, the next legs or core, etc.

    I’ve lost two pounds. Two. Not exactly the result I was hoping for. 

    Jay Parkinson (MD, MPH) summarizes this article really well and gives some pointers. My main goal going forward is to keep up my current exercising, but change my eating habits. Perhaps cutting out a couple hundred calories per day will help me shed a few pounds. 

     
    1. girlmeetsbalance said: It took me nearly 4 months to see results and weight loss. Since you are weight training, the fat is turning into muscle and muscle weights more and you will not notice it right away. Dont stop trying, everything will catch up. I promise you!
    2. amplexushoc said: More saturated fat (sounds crazy, but true), less but not low carbs (100 / day), and more fruits and vegetables! Just watched the documentary “Fat Head” and it opened my eyes. Real medical data goes against most of what we’re being told today
