It wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be, but I liked the concept. It can’t be easy coming up with a new idea for a superhero movie without taking it too far. One thing I noticed about the movie was no sex scene. For a movie with a harsh main character, R rating, and for the target audience… surprisingly there wasn’t a sex scene to be had. The twist was alright, but I found it came to an abrupt end. There wasn’t enough development in the middle of the movie when Hancock was in prison trying to become a better superhero. I AM glad, however, that there was no superhero uniform montage of Will Smith trying on a bunch of uniforms, having one tailored, or picking out fabric.
Charlize wasn’t that great, and I didn’t find her believeable as the superhuman. Overall I give Hancock 2 cross-eyed drunk guys out of 4.
