1. Light Leaks In

I’ve been shooting 35mm film with my Minolta x-700 for a year or so now and I’ve always been pretty happy with the results. This roll I was a little sad to see some pretty intense light leaks happening, so I’ll have to look into fixing it once the roll that’s currently in there is finished up.

I still have a b&w roll that I’m waiting on and I’m hoping that one didn’t get as affected by the leak, but I’m preparing myself for it. It’s such a different relationship with the images when they’re taken this way and especially when I get them processed at Black’s and that part of the image-making is out of my hands.

Regardless, I’m in love with some of these images and I can so vividly recall the feeling at the time that most of these photos were taken; the first few at a friend’s birthday/Canada Day weekend in Lunenburg and the last diptych from my cousin’s wedding on a rainy July day in Moncton.
