Maybe it’s being a transplant from Winnipeg that gives Curtis Rothney a completely fresh photographic take on Halifax. Or maybe it’s because he’s not setting out to make photos of Halifax, but of skateboarding and skate culture. Either way, this 18 year-old (yep, I know) has a sick aesthetic and really knows his stuff when it comes to lighting - both natural and artificial.
